At
Intrasolutions & Consulting,
our sourcing evaluation service is designed to get you from
start to the point at which you sign an agreement with the
most appropriate supplier. We conduct the tactical management
of your project from our on-the-ground location in China ensuring
timely project facilitation as well as productivity of your
time.
Specifically, with regards to sourcing evaluations, we conduct
the following work which can be contracted as a whole project
or as individual items when appropriate:
•
Supplier
Identification
We
identify a master spreadsheet of suppliers that are capable
of manufacturing the items that you require. Our master
spreadsheet is derived from our own unique methodology derived
from our years of experience and relationships with industry
experts. The supplier identification spreadsheet contains
full contact details of each supplier that is considered
for evaluation and will have an opportunity to issue a quotation.
•
RFI
(Request for information) management
Upon
completing the master supplier list, we then attempt to
gain an initial ranking as to who are the better suppliers.
We issue an RFI template in an attempt to request that suppliers
give us further details about their business. Items for
evaluation on the RFI are details from size of the company,
current countries exported to, quality certificates obtained,
etc.

Confidentiality agreements
Some
of our clients would like to keep their information confidential.
We require all prospective suppliers to sign a confidentiality
agreement to ensure that information is not passed on to
third parties.
We
conduct initial on site factory inspections of your prospective
suppliers in order to gauge the overall quality of their
manufacturing facility. A scorecard is recorded based on
the inspection in order to help further rank the prospective
suppliers in terms of overall quality. During the factory
visit, we also review the product specifications and drawings
directly with the supplier to address any questions that
they may have. This process ensures timely feedback of the
quotation as well as quotation accuracy. The questions submitted
by the suppliers are correlated and delivered to you, the
client, for clarification. The complete set of questions
with the corresponding answers is then delivered to all
of the prospective suppliers in the RFQ process mentioned
below.

RFQ
(Request for Quotation) management
Upon
completion of the factory inspections, we issue an RFQ package
to the prospective suppliers for quotation on your product.
The RFQ is either designed by our in house staff, or we
can use one that has been predesigned from your organization.
We
manage the inflow of these quotations, the supplier issues
and questions, and the process of delivering the information
to you in a clear and concise format that can easily be
compared from supplier to supplier.
•
Follow
up factory visits
Prior
to entering the negotiating phase, some of our clients would
like to visit the top 3 to 5 prospective suppliers themselves.
We welcome our clients to do so and will be happy to accompany
you on these visits as dictated by your needs.

Factory
and supplier audits
Some
of our customers request a detailed factory audit before
making a decision on a supplier. The key areas for the audit
are the production management, quality management system,
business licenses, business ethics, and historical financials.

Negotiating
and contracting
The
Intrasolutions & Consulting staff are experts at negotiating the best deals
on behalf of our clients as well as writing purchasing contracts.
They focus on this activity daily and understand the specific
requirements and market rates in China .
All
of the above services include continuous feedback of the progress
of the project. Upon project conclusion, you will receive
a consolidated binder including all details, company brochures,
and photos taken at the inspection location.
